Do we have to send advices/statements in PDF format every day/week/month?
We can take data in any format (and prefer data feeds because their processing can be automated). However since most banks in the region do not have capabilities to provide electronic data, the bulk of our data (~80%) comes in a monthly PDF statement. We handle most of the statement formats that you would typically see (currently about 120 formats from 50 banks).
We also have a spreadsheet format and you can send us your intra-month transactions in that format and we will be able to process them seamlessly.
How do I anonymize my data before uploading it?
You can use Canopy’s inbuilt custom PDF Anonymizer tool to remove Personally Identifiable Information (PII) before uploading your data into Canopy. More information on this topic is available here.

It depends on the complexity of the account and what is ahead of you in the queue. Our data processing turnaround time is typically 3-5 working days. The timeline will stretch to 10-14 days or longer if you provide us with bulk historical statements for processing.
Who owns the data?
Your data belongs to you. For more information, please review our Privacy Policy.
The data displayed on Canopy differs from my bank statements.
If you log in while our data team is processing your statements, the information is being uploaded onto Canopy may be incomplete and will not match. You'll see a “Statement Processing in Progress” preventive/warning pop-up banners displayed at the top of every page to warn you about the display of incomplete data. Furthermore, you would also be able to see a yellow warning icon beside each account that is being processed in the “Select Accounts” Tab.

How secure is Canopy?
Canopy is an ISO 27001:2013 certified company. We practice bank-level security with SHA-256 SSL, 2048 encryption and other database security measures. We also undergo regular system penetration testing. However, the best line of defense is not having customer's personally identifiable information in the first place and that's why Canopy is an anonymous platform.
