Canopy Excel Add-in

The new Canopy Excel Add-in feature allows you to view transactions, holdings, asset allocation, performance and explainer all in one place through Microsoft Excel.

Getting Started

1. Download the add-in from https://appsource.microsoft.com/en-US/

2. Search Canopy Pro Trust

3. Click “Open Canopy” on the top right hand of the excel sheet:

4. Enter your Canopy credentials to login

Dashboard

On the Dashboard you will have the option of generating your Transactions, Holdings, Asset Allocation, Performance or generating results from Canopy’s Explainer.

Transactions

To use the Transactions feature:

1. Enter a specific Ticker or leave empty to retrieve all transactions

2. Input Child user IDs (optional)

3. Select the date range to extract transactions

4. Finally click on Get Transactions

Holdings

To use the Holdings feature:

1. Input Parent Username (optional)

2. Input Child user IDs (optional)

3. Select holdings date under History Date (If you do not specify of any chosen date, the results will display the latest holdings)

4. Finally click on ‘Get Holdings’

Asset Allocations

The Allocation page shows your asset allocation by 10 categories:

1. User Asset Class

2. User Industry

3. User Geography

4. Canopy Asset Class

5. Canopy Geography

6. Partner Asset Class

7. Partner Industry

8. Partner Geography

9. EM, DM

10. BB Composite Rating

To use the Asset Allocation feature:

1. Select the relevant Asset Allocation Table

1. Input Parent Username

2. Select date range

3. Click on Get Asset Allocations to retrieve results

Performance

To use the Performance feature:

1. Input Parent Username (optional)

2. Input Child use IDs (optional)

3. Input Strategy Type by selecting from the below list:

   1. by_child_account

      1. This returns data according to a specific custodian account

   2. by_canopy_asset_class

      1. This returns data according to Canopy’s default asset classes

   3. by_custodian

      1. This returns data for a specific custodian

   4. by_entire_account

      1. This returns data for the entire account

   5. by_security

      1. This returns data by security level

   6. by_user_asset_class

      1. This returns data according to the client’s classifications

4. Input Strategy Name

   1. You may refer to the 'Performance Metrics' workbook for a list of strategy names

5. Select date range

6. Click on ‘Get Performance’

Explainer

The Explainer details your change in net worth over time, attributing it to changes in realized earnings, unrealized earnings, fund flows and currency revaluation.

To use the Explainer feature:

1. Input Parent Username (optional)

2. Input Child use IDs (optional)

3. Input Strategy Type

4. Input Strategy Name

5. Select date range

6. Click on ‘Get Explainer’
