Creating a CCY Account

A Currency (CCY) Account is where transactions in a specified currency are booked.  

For example, a USD denominated transaction can only be booked into a USD CCY account and not into a EUR or any other CCY Account. 

A Child account can have multiple CCY accounts. 

1. Ensure you're logged in to Engine. Go to User Admin > CCY Accounts 

2. Click on . 

3.  Select the Child Account you wish to create a CCY Account for. The Custodian Code field is automatically populated according to your chosen Child account. 

4. Easily add the relevant currencies, or Choose currency... 

You may wish to add an Appendix if you need to create 2 accounts for the same ccy. 

For example, if you have an Income and Capital Account in USD, you may wish to add "01" and "02" as Appendix. i.e. usd-01 and usd-02. 

Once you are done, hit  

5. The successful results are shown and you may Close the window. 

6. Now you have your CCY accounts listed in the CCY Accounts view. 

The Current Balance is 0.00 until you've uploaded your data. 

You are now ready to Upload Your Statements!
